Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Legal Chambers platform, websites, apps, dashboards, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is operated by or on behalf of Legal Chambers and is built/maintained by tristack.tech.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity. Last updated: February 22, 2026.
1. Definitions
"Client" means a user seeking legal assistance, information, case tracking, appointments, or related services.
"Advocate" means a legal professional who uses the Service to manage practice operations, client interactions, or case-related workflows.
"Content" includes text, documents, images, messages, invoices, calendar events, and other data submitted to the Service.
2. Platform Role (No Legal Advice by Platform)
Legal Chambers provides a technology platform. We do not provide legal advice, representation, or guarantee outcomes. Any advocate-client relationship is strictly between the Client and the chosen Advocate.
We may provide operational support (billing, scheduling, document sharing, notifications) but we are not a party to any legal engagement between a Client and an Advocate.
3. Eligibility, Account Security, and Verification
- You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date account information.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account, including any unauthorized use caused by sharing credentials or weak security practices.
- We may require identity/role verification (including Advocate credentials) and may suspend or restrict access until verification is completed.
- If we suspect account compromise, fraud, or policy violations, we may reset sessions, require re-verification, or temporarily suspend access.
4. Acceptable Use (Anti-Misuse Rules)
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to:
- impersonate any person/entity or misrepresent affiliation;
- harass, threaten, defame, dox, or unlawfully discriminate;
- upload malware, attempt to exploit vulnerabilities, or bypass access controls;
- scrape data, mass-download Content, or harvest emails/phone numbers;
- interfere with platform operations (DDoS, automated abusive requests, or deliberate manipulation of features);
- use the Service to create false cases, fabricated evidence, or otherwise submit unlawful or misleading information.
We may take immediate action (including suspension, deletion of Content, and reporting to relevant authorities) for serious violations.
5. Client Obligations
- Provide truthful information and documents to Advocates engaged through the Service.
- Do not attempt to pressure Advocates into unethical conduct, concealment, or fabrication.
- Keep your contact details updated so you can receive court dates, notices, and service updates.
- You are solely responsible for decisions made based on any information received via the Service.
6. Advocate Obligations
Advocates remain independent professionals and are responsible for professional conduct, compliance, conflicts, and advice given. By using the Service, Advocates agree to:
- maintain accurate professional profile information;
- not misrepresent qualifications, enrollment, or experience;
- comply with applicable Indian laws and rules governing advocates, including ethical obligations, confidentiality duties, and restrictions on solicitation/advertising;
- not use the Service to threaten, harass, or retaliate against Clients or other parties;
- maintain appropriate security over client data accessed through the Service (including devices and shared staff access).
7. Content, Documents, and Permissions
You retain ownership of your Content. You grant Legal Chambers a limited license to host, store, transmit, display, and process Content solely to provide and improve the Service, prevent misuse, and comply with law.
You represent that you have all rights and permissions to upload Content, including sensitive documents. You must not upload content that violates confidentiality orders, court directions, or third-party rights.
8. Messaging, Notifications, and Email/SMS
The Service may send transactional notifications (email/SMS/WhatsApp/push) for security, verification, appointments, invoices, and case updates. You consent to receiving such notifications as part of normal operation.
You are responsible for keeping your delivery channels accessible. We are not liable for missed deadlines or missed messages due to unreachable phone/email, spam filtering, telecom outages, or user device settings.
9. Premium Features, Billing, and Taxes
- Some features require payment ("Premium Features"). Pricing, plan terms, and renewal rules are shown at purchase.
- You authorize us (and our payment partners) to charge the selected payment method for applicable fees, including renewals and applicable taxes.
- If a payment fails, we may downgrade, suspend, or restrict access to Premium Features until payment is resolved.
10. Chargebacks, Fraud, and Payment Disputes
If you initiate a chargeback or bank dispute without first contacting support, we may suspend your account and restrict access to the Service while the dispute is investigated.
We may provide transaction records, access logs, and relevant evidence to payment processors and banks as part of dispute resolution.
11. Intellectual Property
The Service, including software, design, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by Legal Chambers and/or its licensors (including tristack.tech). You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works except as permitted by law.
12. Suspension, Termination, and Data Retention
We may suspend or terminate access (with or without notice) if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk for other users, attempted misuse, or if required by law.
We may retain certain data after termination for compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, backups, and legitimate business purposes, as described in the Privacy Policy.
13. Disclaimers
- The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
- We do not warrant uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that information is always complete or up-to-date.
- We are not responsible for third-party services (email providers, payment gateways, telecoms) that integrate with or affect the Service.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Legal Chambers and tristack.tech will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary damages, loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption arising from or related to the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to Legal Chambers for Premium Features in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Legal Chambers and tristack.tech from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts with competent jurisdiction in India will have jurisdiction over disputes, subject to mandatory legal requirements.
18. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays, downtime, or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including internet outages, cloud provider incidents, power failures, strikes, acts of government, court/administrative orders, natural disasters, or security incidents.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
20. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms (including to affiliates or as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale) without restriction.
21. Entire Agreement and No Waiver
These Terms (together with linked policies) constitute the entire agreement regarding the Service and supersede prior understandings. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
