Refund Policy
This Refund Policy applies to payments made to Legal Chambers for premium plans, paid upgrades, and other platform features ("Premium Features"). Last updated: February 22, 2026.
Overview & Scope
1. Refund Eligibility
2. Subscriptions and Cancellations
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You can cancel from your account settings or via support.
- Cancellation stops future billing; it does not automatically refund amounts already paid for an ongoing or completed billing cycle.
- If your plan explicitly supports prorated refunds for unused time, we will calculate proration based on remaining subscription time and actual service availability.
- Trial plans and promotional credits are governed by the terms displayed during sign-up and may be non-refundable.
3. One-time Purchases & Failed Delivery
4. Plan Changes and Pricing Updates
We may change pricing, plan inclusions, or Premium Feature availability over time. Changes generally apply to future renewals or future purchases. If a Premium Feature is discontinued, we may offer an alternative, credit, or prorated adjustment where appropriate.
5. How to Request a Refund
6. Anti-Fraud, Misuse, and Chargebacks
To protect the platform, we may refuse or delay refunds where we detect suspected fraud, abuse, policy violations, or chargeback threats. Examples include:
- using Premium Features and then requesting a refund after benefits were consumed;
- multiple refund requests across accounts or payment methods;
- attempts to manipulate usage logs or access controls;
- chargebacks initiated without first contacting support.
If a chargeback is initiated, we may suspend access during investigation and share relevant records with the payment processor.
7. Exceptions and Non-refundable Items
- Payments made directly to advocates (outside the platform) are not covered by this policy.
- Setup fees, onboarding fees, or administrative fees (if any) may be non-refundable if they cover work already performed.
- If you violate our Terms (spam, scraping, harassment, illegal content), you may lose eligibility for refunds.
- Taxes and payment gateway fees may be non-refundable where required by the processor or applicable law.
